SWU Players & Coaches Help King’s Eagles Capture ACAC Championship

Southwest United is proud to celebrate MP Duxbury, Scott Hornbeck, and Owen Duxbury as part of The King’s University Eagles team that captured the ACAC Men’s Soccer Championship and earned a place at the national championships.

The historic result marks King’s first ACAC championship and is another exciting example of the strong connection between Southwest United and the next level of the game.

All three have important roles within the SWU community:

MP Duxbury serves as SWU’s Girls Program Director, while Scott Hornbeck is the club’s Assistant Girls Program Director. Both continue to make a major impact on player development within the club. Owen Duxbury is both a coach at Southwest United and a player with our AMSL squad, continuing to represent the club while competing at the post-secondary level.

Their success reflects the type of pathway and culture we want to continue building at SWU, one where players and coaches can develop, compete at higher levels, and remain connected to the club throughout their journey in the game.

Congratulations to MP, Scott, Owen, and the entire King’s Eagles program on an incredible achievement.

Next stop: nationals.
