Mini-Soccer Program

The Mini-Soccer (U8–U9) program introduces players to a more structured soccer experience while staying true to the principles of development over results. SWU follows Canada Soccer’s small-sided model, with teams playing in the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association ("EMSA") league.

Training sessions prioritize skill development, decision-making, and creativity, supported by a strong practice-to-game balance. Players receive fair playing time, are encouraged to try different positions, and experience soccer in an environment where growth and confidence matter more than standings or scores.

Qualified coaches act as teachers and mentors, helping players build technical skills while reinforcing teamwork, respect, and enjoyment of the game.
