2009 Girls Qualify for Nationals Following Provincial Silver
Updated: 3 days ago

Southwest United's 2009 Girls are headed to nationals this October after earning silver at provincials.
Coached by Moe Chehimi, the team will travel to Newfoundland to compete against clubs from across Canada.
The qualification marks a proud achievement for the players and an opportunity to take their season onto the national stage. Having secured a place among the province's top teams, the girls now have another challenge ahead as they prepare for a different level of competition.
For Southwest United, this is a moment to celebrate everyone involved in the team's journey. The players, coaching staff, and families all share in an achievement that will see the SWU crest represented far from home.
Competing at nationals gives the group an opportunity to test themselves against unfamiliar opponents, experience different styles of play, and continue learning together. It is also a chance to build memories that will stay with them beyond this season.
Their qualification offers something for younger players at the club to look toward. Seeing an SWU team reach nationals makes that possibility feel closer and gives our girls' program an achievement to celebrate together.
With October approaching, attention now turns to the trip to Newfoundland. Southwest United congratulates Coach Moe Chehimi and the entire 2009 Girls team on their provincial silver medal and national qualification.
We look forward to following their journey and cheering them on as they represent our club on the national stage.
