Pre-Season Training Sessions

Southwest United wishes to announce that our annual pre-season training sessions will be held April 27 and 28 at the Fuhr Sports Park in Spruce Grove, AB. SWU is very pleased that this year’s camp will be led by the COSMO SOCCER ACADEMY (www.cosmosoccer.com). The sessions are designed to get teams ready for the outdoor season and are provided to SWU players as part of their registration. All age groups from U10 to U18 will participate. SWU strives to provide all players an opportunity to advance their game by receiving instruction from highly qualified coaches, specialized training with our Technical Directors and supplemental goalkeeper training. If you have a passion and commitment for soccer and would like to take your game to the next level consider joining our club. VIEW SCHEDULE.

SWU Hosts Successful Talent ID Camp

SWU thanks Cosmo Soccer Academy for conducting a successful Talent ID Camp held June 23-24, 2012. With recruiting ties to Everton and Aston Villa clubs from England, the coaches of Cosmo Academy trained and evaluated over 40 participants. The camp was held exclusively for SWU players and represents the first venture of Cosmo Academy into western Canada. Several players caught the attention of the Cosmo scouts, providing future opportunities for SWU’s best.
