SWU 97 Girls Bring Home Silver from Saskatoon Tournament

Alberta Summer Games
Three members of the SWU 97 girls' team participated in the Alberta Summer games in Peace River from July 22 to 25. Nicole and Isabelle played for Zone 5 Black Gold and Tianna played for Zone 7 North East. The Zone 5 team took silver, losing in a shootout to the Edmonton zone in the final game.

Training in North Carolina, USA

The team travelled to the University of North Carolina and spent five days training with Anson Dorrance and University team staff in very hot weather. The girls were immersed in soccer from
7 am - 11 pm each day. They learned a lot and had a fantastic time.

SWU 1997 Girls Win Silver in St. Albert Tournament

Through snow, hail and rain the girls played well and won a silver medal just as the sun came out at the end of the long weekend tourament in St. Albert.

SWU 1997 Girls Win Silver in Polar Cup Tournament

The girls won Silver at the Polar Cup playing U14 T2. After winning all four round robin games and scoring 19 goals, they lost a close final game 3-2. Well done girls!

SWU 1997 Girls Take Bronze in St. Albert Tournament

The girls had a great weekend of soccer with 2 wins and 1 tie to take home the bronze medal. What a great way to start the season!  Picture - Hangin' out!

1997 Girls Capture U12 Tier 2 Silver Medal in the Millwoods Tournament

The girls won three of their four games in the first indoor boarded tournament of the season to capture silver.
