Another Successful Tournament

The team participated in the 2010 Icebreaker Tournament in Kelowna, BC during spring break and brought home the gold medal! The girls played five games and only allowed one goal against. Coaches Gonzalo and Charles ran a very successful training camp in Kelowna working the girls diligently. Way to go girls!

SW United 96 Girls Win GOLD in Slush Cup

Our 96 girls team finished the 2009/10 indoor season with a GOLD Medal in the Slush Cup playing up in the U16 division. The win caps a successful indoor season where they had to give up their first place position after forfeiting a game to participate in the Saskatoon Tournament, where they claimed the silver medal in a very close game. Congratulations girls! Well done!

96 Girls Attend US Soccer Camp

The girls attended the University of North Carolina Girls’ Soccer Camp from July 13-18, 2009 in Greensboro, North Carolina. The UNC Women’s Soccer Team holds a record 19 National Championships under head coach Anson Dorrance. The team had an intense week of soccer training and games, learning to live in a dormitory environment and braving the Carolina heat. The players and coaches all had a fantastic experience and look forward to returning in the future.

96 Girls Capture Silver in St. Albert Victoria Day Tournament

Girls win GOLD in Richmond The SW United 96 Girls' 1996 team captured GOLD in the U13 Gold Division at the Richmond, BC Girls'; Tournament held on Oct 11-12, 2008. The team went undefeated in three round-robin games to make it into the final on Sunday afternoon. The girls fought hard to capture gold winning 1-0 and going the entire tournament without letting in a single goal. A ton of fun was had on and off the pitch. More pictures

Outdoor Season a Success

The 1996 girls had a tremendous outdoor season finishing tied for first place in the U12 tier 1 division on points, with only one loss posted in regular season play. Well done!

SWU 96 girls Finish with Silver Medal in Slush Cup

A medal well earned! Despite missing a number of players and having a host of injuries and illnesses, girls fought through adversity and played hard.

SW United 1996 Girls Capture Silver in the U12T1 Division at the Richmond, British Columbia Outdoor Thanksgiving Tournament
On a rainy week-end the girls’ hardiness really came through. The team was undefeated in the three round robin games without a goal scored against them to earn a berth in the gold/silver final. They lost 2-1 in a hard fought match that was close to the end to return home with a shiny SILVER medal and some great memories of a fun Thanksgiving weekend.
