Southwest United Sports Club strives to provide the highest caliber of training and competition to youth soccer players in Edmonton. SWU players have many opportunities to advance their game, including instruction from highly qualified coaches, specialized training with Green and Gold Soccer Academy, goalkeeper training and tournament participation throughout Alberta, Canada, and the United States. The coaches of Southwest United continuously upgrade their coaching skills through the National Coaches Certification program (NCCP), Canadian Soccer Association licensing, and guest coach seminars. Five SWU coaches have Provincial B or higher licensing and most coaches have many years of coaching and playing experience.

High quality coaching contributed to Southwest United being Edmonton’s most successful Club at the 2006 Alberta Outdoor Provincial Championships – 6 teams participated, winning two Gold Medals and finishing no lower than a 4th Place. The Club’s crowning achievement came for the U16 Boys with a 1st Place finish at Provincials and a Silver Medal at the 2006 National Championships in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Fees for Indoor 2008/09

$500 includes team technical training allowance.
$125 mandatory fundraising fee; each player receives 8 tickets for the SWU SPLASH at the West Edmonton Mall Waterpark on Saturday, October 25.
